Celebrex 200mg capsule contains the active ingredient Celecoxib. It belongs to the family known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), and specifically a sub-group known as cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors. It is used in adults for the relief of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. In conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, excess production of prostaglandins by your body can lead to pain and inflammation. This medicine works by decreasing the production of prostaglandins, effectively reducing pain and inflammation.
Do not take Celebrex 200mg capsule if you are allergic to Celecoxib or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you had reactions to sulfonamide medicines, suffer from ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or experienced adverse reactions to NSAID medications like aspirin. Before starting the treatment, inform your doctor because it is recommended to not take this medicine if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding. Do not take this medicine if you have severe liver or kidney disease, have inflammatory intestinal conditions, or have heart-related issues such as heart failure, heart disease, or circulation problems. Additionally, if you have had surgeries on leg arteries or have a history of blood circulation problems, this medicine usage should be avoided. This contains lactose. If you are sugar intolerant, consult your doctor before using this product. This medicine is for adults only, it is not for use in children.
Inform your doctor about if you have a history of stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding (avoid if currently present), are on acetylsalicylic acid or antiplatelet therapies, use blood clotting or corticosteroid medications, or simultaneously use other non-acetylsalicylic NSAIDs like ibuprofen. Report your doctor if you have conditions such as smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, compromised heart, liver, or kidney function, fluid retention, dehydration, past severe allergic reactions to medications, ongoing infections, or are over 65 years old. Monitoring may be necessary. Notably, Celebrex 200mg capsule could mask fever or infection signs. Remember, alcohol combined with NSAIDs may increase gastrointestinal risks.
ccoli-3The active ingredient in this medicine is an anti-inflammatory drug used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It works by decreasing production of certain substances in the body, such as prostaglandins. For example, Celebrex 200mg Capsule blocks the production of prostaglandin E1, an enzyme that mediates pain and inflammation. By reducing prostaglandin production, Celebrex 200mg Capsule alleviates pain and inflammation.

The prescription drug celecoxib has shown promise in lowering the risk of serious cardiovascular complications, according to a new study published today in the New England Journal of Medicine.
The drug has been approved by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other conditions linked to inflammation.
The drug, marketed as Celebrex by Celebrex Inc., is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which can help relieve pain, reduce inflammation and relieve pain after an injury or disease.
“The findings from the study show that celecoxib is a promising alternative to previous NSAIDs,” said Dr. Michael J. Kavalen, the study’s lead author and a co-authors of the study.
“In addition to the benefits of celecoxib in reducing inflammation and improving pain relief, the findings may also aid clinicians in the decision-making process when prescribing the drug.”
The study was led by the American College of Cardiology researchers, Dr. Steven Wolff and colleagues, who were the senior authors of the report.
The drug was taken as an oral capsule (as capsules do) by a team of researchers at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and researchers from the University of Oxford (UO) and the Royal Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), which led the study.
The study was conducted in part by researchers at the University of Oxford and at the University of Cambridge, UK, which is the largest medical academic research network in the world.
The study was led by an independent investigator and followed up with the head of the study. The participants were followed up for at least 14 days with a questionnaire that included a detailed history of the patient’s medical history and the amount of pain and inflammation that they had experienced.
The participants took celecoxib orally once or twice a day and then a placebo capsule twice daily.
In the celecoxib group, the researchers found celecoxib reduced the amount of pain, inflammation and swelling that was caused by the injury.
“These findings suggest that celecoxib may offer a promising alternative to other NSAIDs in the treatment of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis,” said Dr. Kavalen.
“The findings suggest that the benefits of celecoxib could be substantial, given the small number of participants. However, the study may also benefit clinicians in the decision-making process when prescribing the drug.”
The study was funded by the National Institute of Arthritis and Rheumatism.

The study involved the use of a large random sample of patients from three U. hospitals to identify cardiovascular complications associated with NSAID use.
Researchers compared celecoxib to placebo, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which is an alternative to the traditional NSAIDs. The study looked at a total of 9,543 patients who were taking celecoxib, or a placebo, for at least one year.
Of these, 1,894 were taking the drug, 2,038 took the placebo, and 4,547 took the celecoxib.
The results showed that celecoxib reduced the risk of serious cardiovascular events, compared to placebo, for all of the participants in the study.
There were no significant differences in the rates of serious complications between patients on celecoxib and those on placebo. However, those on celecoxib showed a 44% lower risk of cardiovascular complications.
The study also showed that patients who took celecoxib had higher rates of serious complications, compared with those on placebo. The study was conducted in patients with cardiovascular disease.
The researchers said that the results show that celecoxib is a promising treatment for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other conditions associated with inflammation.
Celebrex is primarily used to treat pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis), and ankylosing spondylitis (kylosing Spondylitis). It belongs to a class of medications called NSAIDs.
Celebrex is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing the body's production of prostaglandins, which are hormones produced by the body's lining. By inhibiting the release of these hormones, Celebrex reduces pain and inflammation.
Celebrex is available in various strengths and forms, including capsules, tablets, and oral tablets.
Celebrex belongs to a class of medications called. It works by inhibiting the enzyme that produces prostaglandins, which are substances produced by the body's lining. By reducing this production, Celebrex lowers pain, inflammation, and fever.
Celebrex blocks the activity of an enzyme called COX-2, which is responsible for producing the blood clotting enzymes called cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). By inhibiting COX-2, Celebrex reduces pain and inflammation.
It is important to note that Celebrex does not work if the patient is taking any NSAID medications.
If you are taking a prescription medication for pain or swelling, it is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist about it. They will ask if Celebrex is safe for you.
Like any medication, Celebrex can cause some side effects, including:
If you experience any of the side effects, you should consult with your doctor or pharmacist right away.
